Below are some of the data elements included in a RigDig report and what it means to you.

Junk or Salvage Vehicle

  • VIN Cloning is a serious white collar crime. RigDig™ helps you avoid purchasing, selling or insuring a VIN Cloned vehicle.
  • Identify vehicles that may have been junked and later rebuilt. A rebuilt vehicle isn’t always identified with a “Rebuilt” Title Brand.
  • Total Loss Insurance Claims

  • RigDig™ receives Total Loss Insurance Claim information from hundreds of insurance companies, know if the vehicle was written off as a total loss before you buy or sell.
  • DMV Title or Odometer Brands

  • Title Washing is a serious white collar crime. RigDig™ helps you avoid purchasing, selling or insuring a vehicle who’s branded title has been washed from the hard copy title.
  • Because RigDig™ is integrated with the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (“NMVTIS”), we have the most current access to DMV Title Brands (i.e. Rebuilt, Flooded, Junked). Know the most up-to-date status before you buy, sell or insure a vehicle.
  • Recorded Accidents

  • RigDig™ reports provide information on federally recordable accidents. Federally recordable accidents are the most severe accidents that involve an injury, a fatality, or was involved in a tow-away accident. Over the last 10 years RigDig has reported an average over 93,000 federally reported tow-away accidents annually for class 3-8 trucks. Of these accidents, 2.9% resulted in a fatality.
  • Please be aware that not all accidents are reported to RigDig™. The less severe, fender benders are not typically reported to RigDig™. In addition, RigDig™ does not report accidents where the VIN may have been inaccurately documented.
  • Recorded Inspection Violations

  • A trend of multiple inspection violations may indicate poor vehicle maintenance and poor vehicle maintenance may lead to unsafe vehicles and increased repair costs.
  • A trend of multiple inspections with no violations may indicate a vehicle that has been well maintained.
  • Recorded Out-of-Service Inspection Violations

  • A trend of multiple Out-of-Service inspection violations may indicate poor vehicle maintenance and poor vehicle maintenance may lead to unsafe vehicles and increased repair costs.
  • Carriers/Owners

  • Often, RigDig™ can identify the name of the carrier/owner of the vehicle. Many carriers have a reputation for taking great care of their vehicles, while others do not.
  • Carriers with Non-Satisfactory Safety Rating

  • A vehicle that was operated by a carrier with a non-satisfactory safety rating could be an indicator of how well the vehicle was maintained.
  • Carriers with CSA Vehicle Maintenance Alert

  • A vehicle that was operated by a carrier with a non-satisfactory safety rating could be an indicator of how well the vehicle was maintained.
  • Cargo Types Hauled

  • Get a feel for whether the vehicle may have been involved in severe service applications.
  • Vehicle Specifications

  • Know the original factory specifications before you take a trade-in or purchase it at auction.
  • UCC Liens

  • See if there were any UCC Liens tied to the VIN. Don’t buy or sell a vehicle that may have an open lien.

    VIN Cloning is a growing crime, where criminals take the vehicle identification number (VIN) from a wrecked vehicle while it is sitting in a junkyard, then create new VIN plates for a stolen vehicle of the same make, model, year and color.
